Coconu was founded by husband-and-wife duo Taylor and Angela Warnick, who created the first USDA-certified organic coconut oil personal lubricant. Taylor and Angela had always led very healthy and active lifestyles, incorporating organic foods and green living into their daily lives. After the birth of their second child, they wanted to try using personal lubricants and searched for one that aligned with their values. To their surprise, Taylor and Angela couldn’t find anything that contained clean and certified organic ingredients; most claimed to be “natural” and “organic” without any type of certification. With this discovery, the couple realized that they could fill a white space in the market and set out to formulate a product that met their own standards.

Taylor and Angela launched their first product, a certified organic coconut oil-based lubricant, which was quickly followed by a coconut water-based lubricant. With great reception from consumers across the country, they decided to bring on Taylor’s sister, Sarah Warnick Belzer, to help grow the company. Together, the Coconu team worked to expand their product line, launching a hemp-infused coconut body oil in 2020. They also made the decision to donate a portion of their proceeds to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) in honor of Taylor and Sarah’s mother, Kathy Warnick, who passed away from ovarian cancer at the age of 58. Taylor, Angela, and Sarah are fully committed to helping couples lead healthier and happier lives through their 100% safe and organic personal care products.
